Bouchaine Vineyards Chooses Conformia WinePRO System
Napa Winery to Implement WinePRO for 2003 Harvest

Redwood City, CA - August 12, 2003 Conformia Software Inc., a leading provider of enterprise software solutions to regulated, process-oriented industries, today announced that Bouchaine Vineyards has chosen to implement its web-based Conformia WinePRO solution. Bouchaine will use WinePRO to ease the winemaking process and in turn more efficiently utilize the staff's time.

WinePRO covers the complete wine production process from crush through bottling with solution modules and has powerful forward and reverse traceability for single click "vine-to-bottle" blend analysis and 702 form reporting. WinePRO's advanced tank maps provide winemakers with a near real-time overview into their wineries.

Conformia has developed the web-based WinePRO in both an "enterprise" form for larger/distributed wineries and a hosted version for small/medium wineries. Bouchaine Vineyards will implement the hosted version of WinePRO and take advantage of the low total cost of ownership associated with a web-browser based system.

"Our production is becoming more complex as we produce wine under the Bouchaine label, in addition to the wines that are custom crushed at our facility," said Tim Dolven, winemaker for Bouchaine Vineyards. "WinePRO will give my staff and I production information when we need it, freeing up a lot of the time we currently spend on the paper chase process. WinePRO's user interface and overall usability will make tracking each lot and barrel that much easier, not to mention how simple it is to navigate and enter and extract information."

WinePRO assists the art of wine production with a managed, well-documented process, which can be standardized across multiple wineries of a corporation. Winemakers can drive all wine production activities from receiving grapes to creating blends for bottling through WinePRO. They can plan production by targeting blends to products and optimizing the availability of all required resources like equipment, additives and people. Cellar and Lab personnel have clear visibility of upcoming activities, allowing them to plan and execute their tasks accordingly. WinePRO generates the TTB Form 702 for a user-defined period based on the activities in the period.

It is written in Java, running on industry standard relational databases, and conforms to J2EE standards.
